Who We Are

eGumball incorporated in Irvine, California in September 2007. At the time, the product we work on was called Google Local Business Center. Google has renamed it three times since - Google Places, then Google My Business, then Google Business Profile - and we have done the same work through all of it.

We were one of the first companies in local search, and we still operate independently under our own name. Today we are a team of over 100 specialists, working from Irvine for businesses across the United States.

What We Have Done

More than 61,000 accounts served since 2007, and business information verified for 2.1 million businesses across the directories and data sources Google draws on.

We first made the Inc. 5000 in 2010 at #679, then the Inc. 500 three years running: #89 in 2011, #73 in 2012, and #58 in 2013. That growth came from renewals rather than replacements, which is the number we actually care about.

Why Longevity Matters Here

This is not a tenure claim. It is a pattern-recognition claim.

Google changes how local ranking works several times a year, and most of those changes look alarming for a few weeks. Having watched nineteen years of them, we usually recognise a version of what is happening, and we know within weeks whether it is permanent or noise. That is the difference between reacting to every update and knowing which ones to act on.

It also means we have seen what does not work. The shortcuts that rank a listing for a month and then lose it, the tactics that earn a suspension, the agencies that disappear when the penalty lands.

Google Maps marketing and Google Business Profile optimization put your business in the map results. SEO works on your website and its position in the ordinary results below the map. Google Ads and SEM cover the paid side. Website development if the site itself needs building.

If a profile has been suspended or has failed verification, that is its own job and we handle it.
