Is eGumball a Google Partner? Yes, But...

eGumball is not Google. As a company, we do not speak for Google, work for Google, or represent Google in any official capacity. We meet Google's requirements to be recognized as a Google Partner, and nothing more.

Google's Ads certification and its "Certified Partner" label were renamed "Google Partner" some years ago. The word "partner" should be understood as a qualification - not a partnership between two related businesses.

What Google Partner Status Means

Google awards Partner status to agencies that meet its requirements for Google Ads certification, ad spend and campaign performance. Google publishes those requirements in How to become a Google Partner or Premier Partner.

Partner status applies to Google Ads. There is no Partner program that covers Google Business Profiles or the ordinary search results, and Partner status does not give any agency - including us - a way to move a listing up the map.

What No One Can Promise

Google says it plainly in its own advice on hiring help: no one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google. You can read it in Do You Need an SEO?

None of it, and nothing our sales or support staff tell you, is based on knowing Google's secrets or on any control over Google's servers or ranking systems.

How to Spot a Call That Is Not From Google

Business owners regularly get calls from companies that imply they work for Google. Be careful if a caller:

• Says they are calling "from Google" or "on behalf of Google."
• Warns that your listing will be removed or "turned off" unless you pay. Creating and keeping a Google Business Profile is free.
• Guarantees a first-page or #1 position.
• Asks for your Google account password instead of being added as a manager through your profile.
